In a contemporary culture where people seek the accoutrements of the good life, they may loose themselves in the process. What ancient cultures recognized is vibrancy is an outgrowth and manifestation of a life lived in balance. A life lived in harmony with its environment. A life nourished by wholesome food. A life that is supported by stimulating as a well as calming activity. A life in which one's connection with the outer community and larger community is affirmed and validated. In such a context what all the ancient cultures knew is the human psyche has a maximum ability to be strong and resilient to embrace and grow from whatever pain and loss are a natural part of human life.
